Multiple Electrolytes and Dextrose Injection Type-IV IP

Multiple Electrolytes and Dextrose Injection Type-IV IP

Therapeutic Use:

Multiple Electrolytes and Dextrose Injection Type-IV IP is a sterile, non-pyrogenic intravenous solution designed for fluid replenishment, electrolyte balance, and energy supply. It is commonly used in clinical settings to manage dehydration, electrolyte loss, mild metabolic acidosis, and to provide perioperative or post-trauma nutritional support.

Mechanism of Action:

This formulation contains dextrose along with a carefully balanced mix of electrolytes, including sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride, and acetate. Dextrose offers rapid energy through glucose metabolism, while electrolytes restore plasma volume and support vital physiological functions such as nerve transmission, cardiac rhythm, and muscle contraction. Acetate acts as a buffer, helping to manage and correct mild metabolic acidosis by converting to bicarbonate in the liver.

Key Benefits:

  • ✔ Simultaneously restores fluids, electrolytes, and energy.
  • ✔ Helps correct mild acidosis and maintains acid-base balance.
  • ✔ Supports recovery in post-operative, trauma, or burn patients.
  • ✔ Promotes cellular hydration and systemic stability.
  • ✔ Suitable for patients needing nutritional and electrolyte support.
