Therapeutic Use:

An antifungal agent used to treat systemic and localized fungal infections, including candidiasis and cryptococcal meningitis.

Mechanism of Action:

Inhibits fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes, preventing ergosterol synthesis. Disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, leading to cell death.
