Therapeutic Use:

A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat respiratory, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue infections.

Mechanism of Action:

Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial replication and leading to cell death. Exhibits strong bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.
